About Us
This race is dedicated to raising funds for the Christopher and Susan Phillips Foundation, which was started to honor the lives of Chris and his mother Sue Phillips both of whom this world lost too soon.
Christopher & Susan Phillips
The Foundation will be supporting two scholarships each year to two graduating seniors from Jonathan Dayton High School in Springfield, NJ where the entire Phillips family went. The Christopher James Phillips Scholarship will go to a male student looking to go into nursing or who has served on the First Aid Squad since Chris was a nursing technician, EMT and Springfield First Aid Squad volunteer. The second scholarship, the Susan V. Phillips Scholarship will awarded to a female active in volunteer activities, which reflects Sue's kind and generous nature.
Since Chris was in nursing school and his mother was incredibly proud of him, we are also raising money for a nursing school scholarship in the names of Christopher and Susan Phillips for Trinitas Nursing School where Chris was attending. In the future, we plan to continue "Helping Others" by advocating for patient safety in hospitals and encouraging women to take care of their heart.Your support is greatly appreciated.
