Please join us for the 4th annual Phillips 5k/10k on May 31, 2015 at the Lewis Morris Park in Morristown, NJ. 100% of the race proceeds will benefit the Christopher and Susan Phillips Foundation, which helps support scholarships for graduating Jonathan Dayton High School students.

May 31 is Susan Phillips' Brithday, so this is an extra special date for the race!  heart

This USA Track and Field Sanctioned event will begin at the Sunrise Lake Picnic Pavillion.  Both the 5k and 10k courses are on the park trails.  The 5K course is mostly on wide trail with moderate hills.  The 10K course is mainly on narrower trails and is quite hilly.

 

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

7:30 - 9:00 a.m. 5k/10k registration 
9:00 a.m. Race starts
10:15 a.m. Awards ceremony/Raffle drawings

 

This event will feature:

  • Real-time Facebook, Twitter, and text message race results
  • Free raffle prizes for all participants
  • Wicking t-shirts
  • Indoor bathrooms
  • Playground area
  • Post-race refreshments
  • Disposable chip timing by Fast Finishes
  • Paddle boating on Sunrise Lake (for an extra fee)

Sneaker Factory Prizes: 1st overall male/female $50 gift certificate 2nd overall male/female $25 gift certificate 3rd overall male/female $15 gift certificate

Advanced Therapeutic Massage Prizes:  Top 3 finishers in each age category for the 5k and the 10k receive a gift certificate:  1st place $30 certificate,  2nd place $25 certificate,  3rd place $20 certificate.

Medals will be given to the top 3 males and females in each age category in the 5K:

About Us

This race is dedicated to raising funds for the Christopher and Susan Phillips Foundation, which was started to honor the lives of Chris and his mother Sue Phillips both of whom this world lost too soon.


Christopher & Susan Phillips

The Foundation will be supporting two scholarships each year to two graduating seniors from Jonathan Dayton High School in Springfield, NJ where the entire Phillips family went. The Christopher James Phillips Scholarship will go to a male student looking to go into nursing or who has served on the First Aid Squad since Chris was a nursing technician, EMT and Springfield First Aid Squad volunteer. The second scholarship, the Susan V. Phillips Scholarship will awarded to a female active in volunteer activities, which reflects Sue's kind and generous nature.
